Summary
These Curved “C” Type steps are designed to be used with round hot tubs, and provide easy access to the hot tub. These stairs are also considered a luxury accessory and can be made from different wood materials such as Thermowood, Larch, or Spruce. The colour can be chosen from our current pallet, if you can not find the desired colour contact Ten Spa to make that happen.
Curve side
Curved “C” Type steps are designed to provide a safe and easy way to enter and exit the hot tub from either side. This step is made of high-quality, durable materials. It is designed to be lightweight and easy to handle. It can be manufactured in two ways, consisting a left curve or right curve. Before ordering the steps, consider on which side of the hot tub you want to position the steps as it will determine which type you need.
Material
Knowing more about wood varieties and characteristics will assist you in making the right choice:
Thermo wood: (Recommended)
An environmentally friendly alternative to pressure-impregnated wood, and it is resistant to harsh weather conditions, fungi, and rot. Great durability, dimensional stability, and thermal performance are all benefits of this material.
It is one of the best choices, treatment and maintenance is easy.
Ten Spa recommends to treat any wood surface every 6 months to protect the wood from losing its aesthetically pleasing appearance over time.
Spruce:
Despite being lightweight and soft, spruce wood has excellent strength and elasticity characteristics, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. It doesn’t shrink much and remains stable when dry, but its low natural durability can be compensated for by applying a protective coating of paint.
Considering the nature of the product, the curved steps made from spruce may require more attention to maintenance then other types of wood.
Larch: (Recommended)
It is one of the toughest softwood, has high-density and is less vulnerable to knocks and scratches
Because of its density and the presence of natural rot and decay resistance, Larch requires little maintenance.
Ten Spa will treat the wood in natural oils, initial colour will be pale yellow/golden brown the colour will gradually change to silvery grey if left untreated for too long.
As standard Ten Spa will treat the material in natural oils, regardless of chosen material, so you can enjoy a fully complete production.
